This is the wide, 53-inch IROC whale tail and replacement deck lid for a 1991 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 or Carrera 4 build. GT Racing part 16A uses the earlier 911 deck-lid mounting pattern and weighs about 15 lb. It replaces the lid rather than fitting into the factory electric spoiler.
How does it mount to a 964?
The original tubular 964 hinges need the 11A hinge-adapter pair, sold separately. Those adapters connect the earlier lid pattern to the C2/C4 hinges. If your hinges have already been changed, identify the mounting pattern before ordering hardware.
Grille and fitting details
The small 16G aluminum grille for the rear recess is separate. It is the small rear grille, not the large engine-grille opening shown in the photo. Plan the grille pieces and check engine-bay clearance, hinge movement and latch alignment during trial fitting.
