This kit backdates a 1990 Porsche 911 (964) to the widebody look of a 1973 RSR. Up front, the longhood conversion panel works with the later hood latch. At the rear, the supplied RS ducktail uses an earlier hinge pattern.

Will the ducktail fit my 964 hinges?

Not directly if your car still has its original tubular hinges. You’ll need 11A hinge adapters between the hinges and the ducktail. If the hinges have already been changed, check what’s on the car first.

Panels supplied

  • 21SL conversion hood and RSR/ST front fenders (27), with a driver-side fuel-filler bucket.
  • RSR front bumper (4) and its steel grille (8).
  • Left and right 11-inch rear quarters (35-T11), RSR rear bumper (2) and RS ducktail (14).

The IROC tail in the example photo isn’t part of the kit. The ducktail needs a suitable SC/Carrera-style plastic engine grille, separate from the front bumper grille. Have your body shop check wheel clearance and test-fit the lights and trim before paint. Glass, doors, mirrors, interior parts and exhaust are not included.

Application notes

The 1990 964 keeps its later hood latch with the 21SL conversion hood. At the rear, the RS ducktail needs adapters if the car still has its original tubular hinges.

Fitment and installation

Modifications or fabrication are required.

Your car will need:

  • A full longhood body conversion
  • The later-style hood latch
  • Original 964 tubular deck-lid hinges for the adapter setup shown
  • The driver-side fender has the fuel-filler bucket in the stock location. If the filler has been moved, check the fender choice before ordering.
  • This conversion needs fitting and fabrication. Check wheel clearance, lights and trim before the panels go to paint.

Parts you may need separately

  • 911 (964) Hinge Adaptors — These connect the ducktail to original 964 tubular hinges. The adapters are not listed in the kit contents.

Will it fit my setup?

  • Glass, doors, mirrors, interior parts and exhaust are not included.
