Give a 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera the RS ducktail shape with a complete fiberglass replacement engine lid. GT Racing part 14 uses the standard 911 hinge and latch mounting positions. The mounting points have threaded aluminum reinforcement between the two panel halves.
Can I reuse my Carrera grille?
The lid is made for a stock-style SC/Carrera plastic engine grille. Check yours during trial fitting; a suitable existing grille can be reused. If your car has another type of tail or grille, plan on sourcing the correct plastic insert. A grille is not included.
Before the panel goes to paint
Fit the lid, hinges, latch and grille together first. Check the gaps and latch alignment, especially if the existing lid or hinges have been changed. The supplier's average panel weight is 12 lb.

- A suitable stock-style SC/Carrera plastic grille can be reused; no grille is included with the lid.
- Check hinge and latch alignment with the grille in place before paint.
Will it fit my setup?
- The small GT16G whale-tail grille is not the required SC/Carrera-style grille.
