1993 Porsche 964 RS America-Style Spoiler

RS America style. Standard Carrera decklid.

That distinction matters on a 1993 911. This wing is intended for the standard 964 Carrera 2 or Carrera 4 lid. The name describes the style—it does not mean the insert fits a factory RS America.

GT Racing part 12 bolts into the standard C2/C4 decklid as an insert. An aluminum screen comes with it, and the supplier lists an average weight of 9 lb. You retain your existing lid rather than buying a complete replacement panel.

Check the lid, not just the badge

• Standard 964 C2/C4 lid: choose this version.
• Original RS America lid: this insert does not fit.
• Earlier 911 lid: this is a different opening. The earlier-car wing is part 13, not this part 12.
• Turbo, backdated or swapped lid: establish which lid is actually fitted before choosing an insert. The model year does not settle that question.

Moving from the retractable spoiler to a fixed wing

The standard 964 Carrera uses a retractable rear spoiler. Have your installer plan what happens to the existing spoiler mechanism and its controls when fitting a fixed wing. This listing is for the insert and screen, not a complete electrical conversion kit.

Trial-fit the insert and screen before paint. If a previous owner has changed the lid and you are unsure what is fitted, send us a photo in chat before ordering.
